Happy Easter!
We had a fun and productive week back from spring break! I hope you were all able to relax and be refreshed.
Unfortunately, I will be out this week for a hernia repair. I plan to return next Monday, April 25. Mrs. Kristalyn Becker will be learning with our class this week. Please let the office know or send a note to school if there will be any changes in pick-up routines. Thank you for understanding!
Thank you so much for making sure computers are charged each night! Next week we will be using them daily for NWEA assessments.
Here is a website with all the information for our upcoming musical. If you have any questions please reach out to Ms. Mc at rmcelroy@sjschools.org
Reading
We read Miss Child Has Gone Wild! We give it five stars! Our SMARTTime routine is changing. We will have new groups.
Math
In math, we learned about time and the difference between am and pm. Now we are starting money.
Writing
We wrote about why we should or should not get a pet. We also wrote our opinions about exercise and allowance.
Science
We learned how sand is made. Rocks break into rivers and they get smaller and smaller. We created a model with paper.
Special Things
Each student has a share day once a week when they can show or tell something to the class. In art, we are learning about Van Gogh. We practiced our musical on Wednesday. This week is the book fair. We can shop on Tuesday or during any recess time.
