We had another busy and fun week of 2nd grade! Each student showed their growth through math assessments. In reading, we made a chart of what we know, want to know, and learned from our book Urban Communities. The highlight of our week was our science lesson in which we experimented with building paper towers.

If you would like to make a snack donation to our classroom, we are running low.

We finished reading about Mr. Popper’s Penguins. We are reading Magic Puppy. It’s a good book.

            This week we learned with number lines. Math makes you smart. Before this week, we worked on measuring. We worked with partners.

Positivity Project- Humility

We learned about humility this week. Humility is thinking about other people first. We did an activity that we hand-up, pair-up, and share. We could choose to brag or be humble. We watched a video about humility.

Hello Families! Thank you for reading this mid-week addition of our blog. We will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on Monday, February 14th, at 1:40-2:40pm. Here is the link to help with materials or volunteering. If your child would like to write and hand out Valentine’s to the class, here is a

I hope your families enjoyed the snow days last week! Thank you for sending your child with appropriate winter gear each day and a pair of shoes to wear in the classroom. Please consider sending extra masks in your child’s backpack as they often get wet during the day.
